Exclusive to The Conran Shop for the autumn-winter season, the limited-edition Tulip Side Table is constructed from a specially-cut Fusion Fire granite quarried from Brazil, giving customers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to own the iconic table in an ultra-rare stone. Each piece of Fusion Fire granite is characterised by its ripple-like undulations, reminiscent of silk, which give the table a three-dimensional depth. Durable and practically impermeable, the single block of incredibly rare granite perfectly balances on the table's black pedestal base. Unpretentious and elegant, the Tulip Table was first introduced in 1957 following a five-year investigation at Florence knoll's behest. Fulfilling Saarinen's goal of providing a flawless antithesis to the typical support structures found under traditional tables and chairs of the day, its sweeping silhouette is now a true design icon.
